My winning entry in the Finnish State Railways (VR) train appearance idea competition in 2023.

The concept that earned me the award features an organically flowing line pattern, resembling steam. It's a bold, forward-looking, and versatile design. By tweaking the details, we can create a credible and enduring visual identity for State Railways (VR) trains. Green Steam draws inspiration from the history of rail travel and the era of steam trains. Over the decades, black coal has been replaced by green electricity,and now, the organic, lightly floating pattern connects State Railways (VR) long history to the future of train travel.
