Hämeenlinna Provincial Archives, 2009

The Provincial Archive of Hämeenlinna was designed by Heikkinen-Komonen Architects. There are no windows in the building, so we decided to use the graphic concrete technique in the facades. In my graphic design I used signs and letters which I picked up from the old documents. I was inspired by the ancient letters and texts engraved in stone. Patterning covers all the concrete surfaces.
